Student-Athletes and Families

Before entering into a NIL agreement, it is the responsibility of each student-athlete to understand and adhere to Ohio's specific NIL rules.

 

WHAT TO DO IF YOU RECEIVE A NIL OFFER

  1. Talk with your parent(s) or guardian(s)
  2. Be certain the deal follows all OHSAA rules
  3. Sign a contract only with parent/guardian involvement
  4. Submit the deal to OHSAA within the required timeline  (LINK)
  5. Inform Midview you’ve signed a deal through the NIL Intake Form (informational only)

KEY REMINDERS

  • Don’t skip school or practice for NIL obligations
  • Don’t film or photograph NIL content on Midview property
  • Don’t wear team gear in NIL posts
  • Protect your reputation—your personal brand is your reputation, your biggest asset and long-term
